As Consulting and Assessment Practice Lead, Karen R. Young works closely with the Ibis consulting team to deliver results-oriented, innovative and engaging organizational and individual consulting services.

The experienced and diverse team of IBIS consultants offer assessments, consultation and coaching to advance individual and organizational diversity, equity and inclusion capability utilizing a proprietary tool for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion assessment, The Inclusive Organization Framework, and fourteen different areas of organizational impact to gauge where coaching and consultation will ensure the most progress. The IBIS consultation and coaching approach is positive and collaborative whilst focused on learning, adapting, and continuous improvement.

Karen R. Young is an experienced consultant, coach, and former DEI executive who has led enterprise-wide, multi-year diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies that have been recognized as results-oriented, innovative, and engaging from both a business and workplace perspective. She holds a Master of Social Work from Boston University and Bachelor of Arts in Education from Barrington College. She has a twenty-five-year track record as executive leader, business consultant, advocate, HR leader, business partner, facilitator, certified Strengths coach, and organization development consultant.

Her commitments to the community include service on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Boston Alliance of Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Youth (BAGLY), Pride in Our Workplace, and is a Member of the Perkins School for the Blind Corporation. Karen is proud to be recognized in the inaugural Power 50 – Chief Diversity Officers by Color Magazine highlighting CDO’s across various industries who are shaping and innovating the future of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
